  31.3.2025 Poem for appa, Eighty years, a life well-spent,   With hands that build, with heart content.   You shaped your world in thoughtful ways,   A factory’s mind, a valuer’s gaze.   Lights off, no waste—your  golden rule,   Solar cookers, rooftop solar cool.   Fixing pipes, rewiring tools,   Mending fuses—your hands rule.    And by your side, a helper stood,   Learning lessons where she could.   Reuse, recycle—your daily need, Living simple—your way to lead Holidays were lessons anew—   Fossils of Thiruvakkarai, Arikamedu too.   Boat rides, biscuit and ice factory sight,   Seashells gathered in golden light.   Sabari Malai and temples stand,   A journey of faith, for many a guiding hand.   Chess and checkers, moves so wise,   A strategist with sharp, keen eyes.   Our views on spending rarely align,   And many lectures still echo with time! ...
